Ambos fueron ordenados por el Apóstol Tito. Se distinguieron por su gran celo por la Fe y por sus grandes esfuerzos para convertir paganos a Cristo, el Señor. A causa de esto, una querella contra ellos fue sometida a un cierto magistrado, Libanio, y este les sometió a terribles torturas. Fueron apedreados y arrastrados sobre piedras; sufrieron cárcel, hambre y muchas otras torturas que no ser humano podría aguantar sin la ayuda de Dios. El Señor se les apareció en muchas maneras, y cuando fueron lanzados a un horno ardiente, les envió Su ángel para que apaciguara las llamas. Fueron finalmente enterrados vivos por sus crueles verdugos. Pero en vano matan los seres humanos cuando el Señor da vida, y en vano deshonran a quienes el Señor glorifica.
