La Santa Tatiana era la hija de un rico romano y fue educada en la Fe Cristiana. No le interesaban las riquezas y los bienes materiales y cuando llegó a la mayoría de la edad no quiso casarse. Por su virtuosa vida fue asignada al puesto de la diaconisa de la Iglesia de Roma. En este puesto ella cuidaba con diligencia a los enfermos, visitaba a los presos, ayudaba a los pobres, tratando con sus oraciones y buenas obras complacer al Dios.
