Овие деветмина храбри маченици во кои гореше љубовта Христова не сакаа да им принесат жртви на идолите ниту да се одречат од Господ Христос, заради што беа луто мачени и најпосле убиени со меч. Во времето на царот Константин во Кизик беше изграден храм во чест на овие маченици, а таму ги положија и нивните нетлени мошти. Нивните имиња се: Теогниј, Руф, Антипатар, Теостих, Артем, Магн, Теодот, Тавмасиј и Филимон. Презреа сѐ минливо заради вечното. Затоа Господ ги воведе во Своите вечни обители и им даде венци на непропадлива слава. Чесно пострадаа и се прославија во 3 век.
