Ученик и наследник во игуменството на Св. Сергеј Радоњежски. Кога варварите нападнаа на Русија, тој Му се молеше на Бога да ја отстрани таа беда од рускиот народ. Тогаш му се јави Св. Сергеј со Петар и Алексеј, упокоените московски митрополити и му рече да не тагува, зашто таа навала е Божјо допуштение заради некое добро, таа ќе помине и мирот повторно ќе се зацари. Го обнови манастирот на Света Троица и на мнозина им послужи за пример во подвижништвото. Се упокои на 17 ноември 1426 година.
