Ὁ Ἅγιος Νικόδημος, Ἀρχιεπίσκοπος Σερβίας, ἦταν ἡγούμενος τῆς Ἱερᾶς Μονῆς Χιλανδραρίου τοῦ Ἁγίου Ὄρους καὶ χειροτονήθηκε Ἐπίσκοπος τὸ 1316. Τὸ 1319 μετέφρασε τὸ Τυπικὸ τοῦ Ἁγίου Σάββα τοῦ Ἡγιασμένου τῆς Ἱερουσαλὴμ στὴ Σλαβονικὴ γλώσσα καὶ ἀπαίτησε νὰ χρησιμοποιεῖται ἀνελλιπῶς στὴν Ἐκκλησία τῆς Σερβίας.
