წმიდა მოწამე პარამონი და სხვანი სამას სამოცდაათნი მის თანა 250 წელს, იმპერატორ დეკიუსის (249-251) მეფობისას აღესრულენ ქრისტესთვის. ბითვინიის (მცირე აზია) მთავარმა, აკვილინემ სამას სამოცდაათი მართლმორწმუნე შეაპყრობინა და წამებით აიძულებდა მათ, კერპებისთვის მსხვერპლი შეეწირათ. ქრისტიანთა ტანჯვა რომ იხილა, ადგილობრივმა მკვიდრმა, დიდებულმა პარამონმა შესძახა: „რამდენი უდანაშაულო იღუპება იმისთვის, რომ უსულო კერპებს არ სცემს თაყვანს!“ ამისთვის ისიც შეიპყრეს, ენა გაუხვრიტეს, სხეული მახვილებით დაუსერეს, დაბოლოს, სხვა სამას სამოცდაათ მოწამესთან ერთად თავი მოჰკვეთეს.
