Der Eigenname in typikon für den Sonntag dieser Woche ist Der Sonntag von Letztes Urteil, das Thema des Evangeliums des Tages anzeigend (Matthew 25:31 - 46). Der populäre Name von „Meatfare Sonntag“ kommt vom schnellen, das dieses der letzte Tag ist, an dem das laity die Erlaubnis gehabt werden, um Fleisch zu essen bis Pascha (orthodoxe Mönche und Nonnen essen nie Fleisch).
