В същия ден празнуваме и паметта на светата мъченица Евтропия. Св. Евтропия беше обвинена пред игемона Апелиан че посещава и укрепява в светата Вяра християните, затворени в тъмници. Затова мъчителите я окачиха да виси и обгаряха тялото и със свещи, но тя толкова леко понасяше мъченията, сякаш не я изгаряше огнен пламък, а я прохлаждаше вода. Мнозина от стоящите наоколо, в това число и войниците, които я измъчваха, видяха наяве един страшен мъж, който изстудяваше огъня и прохлаждаше с роса светата мъченица. Сред такива страдания тя предаде душата си на Господа. (Св. Евтропия е завършила живота си в Александрия ок. 260 г)
