В същия ден празнуваме паметта на светия мъченик Анастасий. От Аквилея (в северна Италия) св. Анастасий сам отиде в град Салон (в Далмация) при нечестивите, и без да се страхува изповяда пред тях Христа - истинския Бог и Творец на всичко. За това свое дръзновение и твърдост в истинската Вяра той бе посечен с меч, а тялото му - хвърлено в морето. ( Мъченическата кончина на св. Анастасий е била по време на царуването на Диоклетиан (284-305))
