The Creed

People: (The Nicene Creed

I believe in One God, Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth and of all things visible and invisible.
And in One Lord, Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all ages.
Light of Light, True God of True God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father, through Whom all things were made.
Who for us and for our salvation He came down from Heaven and was incarnated by the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary, and became Man.
Crucified for our salvation under Pontius Pilate. He suffered and was buried. And was resurrected on the third day according to the Scriptures.
And ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again with glory to judge the living and the dead.
His kingdom will have no end.
And in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, Giver of Life, who proceeds from the Father, who together with the Father and the Son is worshipped and glorified, who spoke through the prophets.
In One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church.
I acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
I await for the resurrection of the dead
And the life of the ages to come.
Amen.

I believe, O Lord, and I confess that You are truly the Christ the Son of the living God who came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am first.  I believe also that this is truly Your own most pure Body, and that this is truly You own precious Blood.  Therefore, I pray to You: have mercy upon me and forgive my transgressions both voluntary and involuntary, of word and of deed, committed in knowledge or in ignorance.  And make me worth to partake without condemnation of Your most pure Mysteries, for the remission of my sins, and unto life everlasting.  Amen.
Of Your Mystical Supper, O Son of God, accept me today as a communicant; for I will not speak of Your Mystery to Your enemies, neither like Judas will I give You a kiss; but like the thief will I confess You:  Remember me, O Lord, in Your kingdom.
