+++ San Giorgio il tropeoforo, martire San Giorgio è uno dei più venerati santi martiri della chiesa, tanto da avere il titolo di megalomartire (grande martire).
Della storia della sua vita non si hanno molte certezze, ma molto probabilmente nacque nel III secolo in Cappadocia, nell'Asia Minore, in una famiglia profondamente cristiana.
