Hl. Märtyrer Polykarp von Smyrna Der hl. Polykarp wurde um Jahre 80 in Smyrna (Kleinasien) geboren. Als Jüngling wurde er Schüler des hl. Apostels Johannes (Gedenktag: 21. (8.) Mai). Er wurde zum Bischof von Smyrna durch den hl. Wukolos (Gedenktag: 19. (6.) Februar) geweiht und stand in Verbindung mit bekannteste heilige Väter des 2. Jahrhunderts, wie der hl.
