Родум од селото Витахарамско од пределите Сихемски. Живеел на дворецот на царот Ахав; но кога царот отстапи од вистинското богопочитување и им се поклони на идолите, Авдија не тргна по примерот на царот, туку продолжи да му служи на единствениот вистински Бог. А кога злобната царица Језавела заради пророкот Илија крена хајка на сите Божји пророци, Авдија собра стотина од нив, ги скри во две пештери и ги хранеше до крајот (1 Царства 18, 4). Современик на големиот пророк Илија, Авдија многу го почитуваше Илија и го слушаше во сѐ како негов следбеник и ученик. Живееше 900 години пред Христа и се упокои мирно.

- To do the annual calendar, display showing the liturgical readings per week

- To do a completely new approach with banners and a small calendars for other sites,
