При тешким мукама чуо глас с неба: „Не бој се, ја сам с тобом!” Бачен у усијаног бакарног вола, он се приљежно Богу мољаше. И Бог га спасе. Усијани во наједном се охлади, и Илиодор изађе жив. Судија му довикну, да он чини неке мађије. На то мученик рече: „Мађије су моје Христос!” Би посечен и оде ка Господу.
