Од младоста Го возљуби Христа и го замрази овој суете н свет. Заради ова го остави светот, отиде во манастир и прими ангелски образ. Не жалејќи се себеси се предаде на скрбен и тесен монашки пат. Преку големо трпение ги стекна двете основни добродетели: послушанието и смирението и со нив ги надмина „не само браќата туку и сите луѓе“. Од младоста ја зачува чистотата на душата и телото. Во времето на иконоборната ерес се покажа како непоколеблив столб на Божјата Црква. Заради неговото големо смирение и чистота, Бог му даде дар на чудотворство и за време на животот и по смртта. А кога се пресели кај Господ, остави многубројни ученици зад себе. Се престави во 9 век.
